New Review for Voice of the Elders

Check out this new review of Voice of the Elders!

Voice of the Elders by Greg Ripley - 5 Stars

Reviewed By Ray Simmons for Readers’ Favorite

I want to say right from the beginning that Voice of the Elders by Greg Ripley is a very good book. I liked it for a variety of reasons. First, the protagonist is a young person, and the reason she is at the center of this exciting event in human history is explained logically and clearly in a way that makes complete sense. I also like the fact that the hero is female and of mixed ethnic heritage; it just makes sense in today’s world and makes the story a little more believable. And just as believable is the skepticism of some of the leaders and older people in various government positions. This future version of Earth is also believable, with its changing weather, climate problems, immigration problems, and the distrust and xenophobia that often accompany change and upheaval. The author sets the plot up beautifully and then delivers.

I liked the plot. I loved the protagonist, and all the characters were well constructed. The setting was also done well. This future world is a logical extrapolation of the world we live in now. The writing is good for this story and the target audience. All these components of story telling come together in a crisp, tight tale that would no doubt make a great movie. Greg Ripley is a gifted writer who has put together a very thoughtful, timely, and, hopefully, very successful novel. I look forward to more great books from him. If you like thoughtful stories with strong female leads, you will want to buy Voice of the Elders by Greg Ripley.
